I don’t run because I have bad knees, but I do walk pretty fast. 1-1/2 miles twice a day, 30 minutes each time. The only thing I listen to is the sounds of nature (and sometimes a car or two). Occasionally, I even work out a problem I might have.
I have lost my time in cycling. One day, I cycled a lot further than normal without realizing it or really feeling it. The next time, I tried to repeat the route and could not finish. It was weird that I could go further without trying than I could when I was trying.

I listen to Car Talk on my iPod. That way, when they come to the “third half” of the show, l know I’ve got twenty minutes to go.

My “running time” consists of walking behind a lawn mower. Yard work can give a good work out and there is plenty of time to think and pray.
