We used to have real trees when I was young, then economics demanded an artificial. When I got married I got a real tree again, only to find that my wife was allergic to the strong scent. Rather than make a big issue of finding a non-allergenic variety, if there is such, we just got an artificial. It’s now losing whole branches, not needles: about time for a new one.
