Look on the bright side. Once the ice is gone the seas will begin to warm up again. They probably won’t ever reach the same thermal potential they had before the last ice age, but they will warm enough to reverse the ongoing trend of inland aridity that causes glacial recession, desert encroachment and rising sea levels.
