    Are there ANY maypoles still up, and does anyone know what they are any longer? I only know about them from movies and comics like this; I’ve never seen one in “the wild”… :-P

    We may have been dancing around the May Pole today if the the Naturists of that time would have put down the Puritans instead of knuckling under the gloomy ones around 1645. I am researching it for a parallel Earth story I am writing where the joyous ones won out over the gloom and repression of Puritanism. Unlike our world where the Gloomy ones won.
