So I’m guessing that the large, vertical, supportive stem structure is a “leg” in ‘Strine. Whoodathunk?

At some point mama yowie and the boys were on the same side of the canyon, so there must be a way around. You need to follow your dream, Ginger.

I still say GISAD, just as something to refer to later in the series. That scream is very graphically depicted, one can almost hear it. The ability for it to reverberate around those beautiful green valleys must be due to a very fine echo-system.

Groaniks will be pleased to learn, in response to complaints, I’m aspirin’ to alleviate those aches and puns that trouble you.

It sure is a sport here in Oz, only 10 minutes ago there was a TV advertisement promoting it. I do recall that ‘rimshot’ is an expression associated with it. Ottod’s link also gives another dramatic example of the use of the word. Had earphones on at the time, WOW!

A bit of trivia: That canyon is the second biggest in the world (after the Grand Canyon).

I assume they were standing on the edge of a gorge at the bottom of the valley because there’s no way they could throw a rope all the way across (barring cartoon physics).
