The main reason I haven’t had a TV in years is that there are getting to be more and more bonehead channels.

The weekly total of Quality Television Hours is a constant. 50 years ago, there were three channels, each operating from about 6:00 am to midnight. Now there are 500 channels broadcasting around the clock. Do the math.

As a fellow bonehead, Dill- take my advice. Make sure you always have Alice around. She knows what you are, as STILL puts herself in harms way to try and rescue you.

I still find loads of good shows on Food and Cooking for new food ideas, History and International, ID for mystery/crime shows, Bravo for reality shows, a few classy, mostly trashy but still fun, and there are also tons of decorating shows and home makeovers and lots of fashion and personal shows and some health and fitness shows (and if I get totally bored, there are the court shows). I will never watch Idol, Glee or Dance etc or Jersey Shores- I don’t want to get trashier than the “Housewives”-some more than others.
