If you are, remember that Trump is only the bigliest, ugliest symptom. Republicans are the disease.

Anybody’s life viewed against a bigger and bigger picture appears meaningless (the show “Rick and Morty” has built its base narrative on this). But down close, the people in your family, friends and peers give us meaning and the motivation to resist. We are not in normal times.

@45nasrad… Truth counts. Facts count. Lies are lies. Propaganda is clearly propaganda. The putative president is mentally ill and his mental illness is reflected in they eyes and hearts of every one of his supporters. American aspirational values are being trashed daily.

How does it feel to be tearing the heart out of American values and ethics? Truth, gone. Fair play? Nope. Lies coming daily from the Oval Office? Yup. Misogyny? Certainly. White supremacists chanting Nazi slogans? “Some very good people.” Trashing our friends and allies? Sure. Sucking up to the Russians? But of course. On and on the madness continues. Normalizing what should be aberrant behavior. My goodness 45nasrad…aren’t you ashamed of yourself yet? You should be.

With rare exception, the anti-Obama crowd demonstrates their racism with every breath. There are no other rational explanations rooted in policy or ideology to claim he was born in Kenya, or that he was a Muslim. This is the same tripe served up in a hot steaming mess about pedophilia pizza shops when an actual pedaphile was eagerly supported for the US Senate.

One should careful about going with the flow. It may be headed to a sewage treatment plant that is about to fail.

The flow will lead you out to sea.

I love seeing the loonies whine about tax cuts and disempowered bureaucrat-regulators. The rest of us like a decent economy and a modicum of freedom.
