Some coworkers of mine were chatting about this, and kinda scratching our heads, and we came up with 2 theories – one was that Dracula would get the flu from being exposed to a used toothpick. The second, maybe more dominant theory, was that smaller chunk of wood = lesser injury. If a stake will kill a vampire, maybe a toothpick just makes them sick?
