Back in the late 40s and early 50s there was a morning program from Chicago, āThe 400 Hourā sponsored by the Northwestern RR. Norman Ross ran it. Heard things like āThe Battered Brideā and āSchwanda, the Doodlesack Piperā. Nice classical music before work. He could also get serious as needed.
