I remember a verbal error that I made in explanation of having returned later than planned to my office. I had said that I was taking my Dad to the VA for an appointment and when I got back I said that I had “lost him”.
I knew as soon as I said it that I had worded it wrong and with great haste managed to explain that he had become confused and exited out the wrong door and we had spent an hour trying to find one another.
Sometimes you can speak the utter truth and still mis-inform!
So there are other uses for newspapers and dogs besides paper training!
Sorry about your pal, hossblacksilver. I put my buddy down 4 years ago, and every August I start remembering, whether I want to or not. But it does get easier with time.

At least she told the truth – she didn’t let a sleeping dog lie! (Nice avatar, Yukoner!)

“It wasn’t all that bad”??? You tortured a dog!

A dog named Doofus? Now that’s cruel.
dataweaver: how do you use italics, bold face, etc. in the comments?

Hopefully, Roz meant Doofus is just sleeping as opposed to being “put to sleep”(the terminal kind)

Reading Ann Coulter causes your blood pressure to go high enough to make your head explode.

Too cruel! But at least Roz didn’t serve him her meat-loaf, then the ASPCA would get involved for endangerment!

Read this strip in our state paper today and the first two panels weren’t there. Now its even funnier.

I didn’t find this that funny since one of my dogs passed away this week.
