My family was never much for theater-going, but there were two exceptions. Every few years, when it came around, we’d go see “Fantasia” (with the original soundtrack), and, as we were lucky enough to live in a city with a Cinerama Theater, we’d occasionally go there. It’s too bad Cinerama died out, it was a marvelous experience.
I sympathize with Monty. So, if I watch movies at all, it’s on YouTube. Last time in an actual cinema was, I’m pretty sure, in the ‘90s. I do miss theater popcorn, but it’s become too expensive anyway, since the chains realized concessions are a huge profit center….

I haven’t seen a movie in the theater in years. Apparently I’m not missing anything in the experience.

Saw the first one, “This is Cinerama” narrated by Lowell Thomas in Boston. Classic roller coaster scene.
