It seems your gritty skills only work on weekdays. Have you had any snow, other than in the mountains. It snowed around us, but not here. It’s a good thing because we got just under half an inch of rain overnight and that would have translated to a lot of snow. It is 32 and supposed to drop into the 20s, next possibly down into the teens. brrr
It is bizarre here on the lake. LilG went for a bike ride and she said all of the cars that she saw pass her had snow on them. She talked to a client of hers in town and wanted to meet with her and her client said the road was covered in ice and they got dumped on with snow. We usually get the snow, instead it is sunny here.
I was just ordering gift cards from my rewards points on my credit card, to cut down on my Christmas gift giving costs. Got one from Best Buy, and one from JCPenney. Those reward points are a good deal for me as I pay my card off every month! Gotten lots of free stuff, sure saves on the costs. Of course, for people who carry a balance, it doesn’t!
sorry dry i had some stuff i had to do. i dont even want to think about thanksgiving. i am wanted to be in 4 places at one time. i dont know what to do. i dont want to do anythging but sleep. i only get thrus and friday off. sucks. every one else has this whole week off. including the collage ones.
Dry, I saw your comment earlier, boy Wiley is a curmudgeon. He makes some very appropriate comments, but rarely does he compliment someone on a good comment. He seems to reserve his remarks for those that he finds objectionable.
Yeah cleo, he did the strip. He should know how people feel about their football games (me included). He does a strip that is bound to invoke comments, not jsut this one, but others, what does he think will happen, geez!
And something else that happens, some men (not you of course, or JFri or johnny) assume that football is only enjoyed by the male species. I have loved football since I was 5 years old! Talk about being sexist!
I don”t think that Wiley has an issue with people and football, but he has an issue with people who obviously read politics into his strips. He says his comics aren’t political but boy they sure seem that way. Me…I try to avoid political discussions. I know I will change no opinion and I do not care it I do. I believe what I believe and I need no one else to give me their affirmation.
cleo I agree, I believe what I believe, and when I know someone else doesn’t I try to avoid the discussion. I did love one of your other comments today, sounds like we think alike!
Shika you’re a RIOT!!! If you get stuck in the end zone, we’ll find some hunky good looking tackle to get you out! Or a quarterback I am thinking of! ;-)
Alas and alack! I must return to reading my catechisms for class. I have just finished reading about the Puritans arriving at Plymouth in our early Christian history book. Interesting reading.
Tabby, sorry I missed you again sis!
Anyone seen Carmy today? I think she may be travelling, but I forget.
Shika from Bing. Just google their pictures and avatars for the topic you want. I googled dogs and cats dressed in Thanksgiving costumes. I forget what Bing was before, I think ask.com? Maybe?
And there better not be snow on my doorstep on Thanksgiving! Tho’ there was one year.

cleokaya about 14 years ago
Dry I answered you back at Cul de Sac.

Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 14 years ago
That is strange! But then, where I’m at, we seem to be in a pocket, and a lot of storms go right around us, be it summer or winter.
Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 14 years ago
cleo Re Cul de Sac: Then I say you and I go out for Thanksgiving dinner and let someone wait one us for a change! :-D
cleokaya about 14 years ago
Good idea Dry.
I just talked to a friend who lives a few miles north of us and she has 5 inches of snow and whitecaps are blowing on Bellingham Bay.
Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 14 years ago
As much as I would like to see your neck of the woods, you can keep your weather! Ours will be here soon enough!
Just came back from fighting the madding crowds! Hope I have everything I need for turkey day, otherwise, we shall do without!
If not, I’ll open up some cans of baked beans and they can pretend it’s a gourmet feast!
Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 14 years ago
