It is inhumane, in my opinion, to force people who have a genuine medical need for coffee to wait in line behind people who apparently view it as some kind of recreational activity.
~Dave Barry
Ahem! Garfield, you are not the only one and feel better after you sip the hot coffee in the morning. So am I, too! I feel much better after I drank the coffee in every morning!
That coffee isn’t Garfield-strong. If in pouring it the pot can stand up on the pour, then it’s Garfield-strong. If the coffee comes with a mini crowbar in the can to pry your fingers off the mug, then it’s Garfield-strong. If the coffee is so strong it doesn’t need the mug to retain its shape, then it’s Garfield-strong.
I think he’s becoming immune to the drug - as often seems to happen. He needs more and more to do less and less. Pretty soon he’ll be eating the grounds raw.

Every journey begins with a single step … I wonder what the “CC* Count” is in this household!

My favorite version of this was 40 years ago, a comic called Carmichael–Presto, just one cup of this magic potion, and I become a human being.

In an earlier comic, Garf says the same thing, exept he said, I think 13th, not 1st.
