@William - I entirely agree with you on that one.

Yeah, well, I keep hearing men saying that women rule - and it’s usually the men who refuse to share the driver’s seat, so to speak. I would love someone to explain how women rule.

My cat shows a huge amount of gratitude when she eats - she purrs and eats at the same time - it sounds funny. And then she needs her daily dose of pick-me-up-and-love-me - though she does like to be chased down for it. And as an expression of camaraderie, I roar at her like a lion, and then she purrs back - loves it for some reason. I’m lucky - this cat was a great find.

The cats absolutely rule the house - we are staff.

William, You made me think. That was probably one of the reasons why my wife left me. I was kind and loving, but refused to be manipulated.

Johanan, I take a small exception to “A lion, needless to say, owns everything in sight.” I don’t think he owns that 50 caliber bullet coming towards him, or the man that sent it on it’s way.

i have a 11 yr old orange tabby,,, i’ve shown his pic here before, and he comes when called,, but heaven forbid i walk past his food dish without filling it!

Cats remember when they were worshiped as gods in Egypt thousands of years ago, and they still expect that adoration!

Cats are the masters of all they survey, unless there is a squirrel in the yard who can beat the bleeep out of them.

This one reminds me of a Garfield classic from a few years ago. In the first two panels, Jon answers the phone with “Hello?” and repeats the question of “Do I own a cat?”. Then Garfield walks in and says, “I have 30 frozen turkeys on the lawn!” and Jon answers on the phone, “No; I do not.” lol. That was a good gag.

Dogs think they are human. Cats know they are gods. Dogs have masters. Cats have People. Wan’t to call a dog? Make any noise whatsoever. Want to call a cat? Pick up a food dish. People train dogs. Cats train people.
