I’m guessing Bara had a neurological disorder…maybe a prion disease…and there is a risk Tarzan will become even more erratic in his jungle aggressions.
He downed the “reluctant” deer? I might be “reluctant” to get a haircut, but not wanting to be stabbed to death requires a stronger adjective. Might as well say, “He downed the uncooperative deer.”
“After feasting well, Tarzan…” Do you mean Tarzan killed an antelope for a few bites of meat? Why wasn’t a rabbit enough? That entire animal was killed for one man’s meal? For one pound of meat?

Antelope! Not deer. Notice it has horns, not antlers. Why would Bob and Dick call that a “deer”?
