When in college, and had dificult to make ends meet, I subsisted on the numerous simposium and conferences’ intermisions’ fare: canapes, cocktail sausages or cheese on a tootpick, mini sandwiches and the like, or just sweet bread and coffe.
Since both of my parents worked when I was in Jr aSr high it was learn to prepare meals so everything could be cook quickly after mom got home, or learn to survive on fast food and TV dinners. By the time I got to college I was already making some of the family dinners, so when I got to college I was already prepared to make my own meals.
