Does anyone really want flying cars to come into general use? Really?
Now think of the last time you drove in bad traffic, excessive lane changers, the cut-off artists, the speed-to-the-red-light idiots… now think about all that in THREE dimensions.
Long ago a neighbor who was a rabbi was retiring and decided to tie his many helium balloons to our door when they left on vacation. The next day I walked through the complex handing people balloons but we kept enough for — yes, a weasel powered air craft, actually a padded hammock suspended by multiple helium balloons with a ferret safely ensconced and using her tip toes to float around our condo.

Flying cars do exist and have so since at least 1947. Though no weasels were involved. Now the reports of flaying cars is a total fabrication.
