So when Pierre says he’s had a craving for rabbit right in front of Mona and M. Smokey, he has indeed threatened the LIVING bunny-Mona symbiote; so, the Mona-bunny bites him, and rightly so! It is as if to say, “How dare you think of my M. Smokey as a mere ‘stuffed animal’ or say he’s not real!”
