I’m 55 and never have been into console games; just PC and a joystick. So I’m with my grandniece and she’s showing me one of her favorite games and says, “I always get stuck here. Help me,” and thrusts the controller into my hands. Wah-wah-wah, dead. I hit enough buttons at random to find the “duck” button that would get her through.

The games never appealed to me. The starting over from the beginning each time I messed up at the same spot, and never advancing, made me too bored.
