Nothing funny about this sort of ignorance. And Iām a guy, and somebody I love is in remission because of a pap smear and early treatment. If the point is, get examined, OK. If the point is that womenās health is secondary to cardio for a war criminal that had other concerns when he took five deferments, f##k you.. And I want everybody safe.
boozoothatswho is rightā¦and in all seriousness, the paps and self-exams must be done. Not only that, but FOLLOW UP ON WHAT YOU FIND. I found my OWN lump in July of ā04, right after a normal mammo, took it to my ādoctorā, who looked at me like I was nuts and told me to come back in 6 months. I should have gone to somebody else right away, but did what he said. at six months, he again looked at me like I was nuts and said, āYou need to see a surgeon right away.ā I said, but I told you about this last time. He looked blank. no documentation in the chart, nothing. Needless to say, I was Stage II breast cancer by that time. If you find a lump, DONāT STOP UNTIL A SURGEON TAKES A SAMPLE OF IT. Itās really true that you have to be your own advocate. Push, yell, do whatever you have to do - but stand up for yourself and take care of yourself, male AND female.
