I had a Bull Mastiff that loved going to the Vet, right until he went into the treatment room. He would then try to hide under the chair, but all he could really do is get his head under it.
my beagle goes to vet fine once in side he has to be dragged into room. Takes all his shots well but once done look out he is ready to run out the door..
Most of my dogs were pretty good about going to the vet (with the exception of one mini dachsie male that had to be muzzled – I didn’t know the human hand could move as quickly as the vet’s did the first time he almost got bitten!) But they absolutely positively would NOT eat the treat the vet gave them. Even taking the treats home and trying to give them to the dogs there didn’t fool them…they wouldn’t touch them!
We’ve got a cat with an attitude. A vet we usually don’t go to gave her a prescription for some pills. We TRIED to give them to her but she wasn’t having any of that. So we took her to the office, and when the tech gave the pill to her it was no problem, easy peasy. Little Miss Emily was afraid. This went on for 2 or 3 days and the people at the vet’s office were laughing at us. Then Emily decided she wasn’t afraid. They’re not laughing now… One of the techs has a scar.

Marmaduke is such a good boy! Not many dogs like going to the vet!
My dogs love going in the car, but the vet? Not so much. They do love the drive home, though!

Marm actually LIKES this vet? Most of the time, he puts up a battle!

It’s the treat. Without the treat, the doctor would never see so much as a hair from his tail.
