Lock and alarm all entrances but one so they open from inside only. Install video at said entrances, inform staff and students of punishment for anyone opening said entrances. Have two armed guards at the main entrance with metal walk through detectors.

Why not just make the kids wear camouflaged school uniforms, or Kevlar uniforms? I’m sure we could put together a conservative stink tank to come up with many more great solutions which don’t address the actual problem!

Another possible answer is NO MEDIA coverage in these cases. As KAFFEKUP stated the real cause is Mental Health and nut cases love to be famous.
