Get a live mouse trap, find the hole where the mouse got in and plug it up, then release the mouse in a more suitable place. If you don’t plug the hole, you’ll just have more mice coming in.
A neighbor found a young rat next to her toilet, and called me to try to catch it. She knew I had pet rats. Rats Can get out of toilets but this one was pretty small, I was surprised she made it out.
