This is a hilarious comic! I don’t recall any of my dogs paying much attention to the toaster, but they sure did hate it when I bought a jack-in-the-box. They went nuts whenever that popped up. And one of the dogs also hated hubby’s cuckoo clock, and would bark her head off every time the cuckoo popped out. Kind of noisy around the house at times!
Cats, our unsung defenders of us from the Old Ones. One scratch could blow them up. They reform through the process of anamorphosis, but it keeps them away for 3 months till they come back again.

My beloved cat, Caramel sits and watches the toaster whenever I use it. She doesn’t attack, but she knows it will pop up, and is fascinated by it.
