Soccer has been around a lot longer than âamerican footballâ and had a lot more time to get acceptance. Actually without soccer and rugby we wouldnât have football.

We actually had this situation with 14 year-olds. I have NEVER seen such effort put in by both sides!!

Football is played continuously with a round ball and with the feet. The US mutant is mostly played with the hands (but âhandballâ was already taken), with a very oblate spheroid, with most of the time spent standing around trying to decide what to do next. Boring is mostly in the minds of those who canât appreciate subtlety. I find standing around rather boring.
