The truck I learned to drive with had a crank that sometimes worked. You soon learned to park it on a hill. If you didn’t jacking up the rear wheel and wrapping a rope around it .. then a good pull was often easier than using the crank.
I am glad I can still remember my one grandpa having a car that you cranked it in the front to start it, and an uncle who had a car with a rumble seat which I got to ride in both! My dad had a Crosley once also!
