“My kingdom is not of this world.” It is not a physical state, but a state of being. “Thy will be done, on Earth as it is in heaven” is not an impossibility.
We can make it happen and I think we’re supposed to make it happen. God gave us an entire planet and all of its people. We’re not doing such a great job at it so far.
One person at a time; one day at a time. “The meek shall inherit the Earth.”
But back to Gabby; what good is a God who will let her go through hell and not help her, but just watch? Even granting that he leads her to the Pope later.
And was it only Gabby? So what about the others? That psychology of good things mean their deity did it and bad things mean humans or demons did it falls apart.
“Why, this is hell, nor am I out of it. Think’st thou that I, who saw the face of God and tasted the eternal joys of heaven, am not tormented with ten thousand hells in being deprived of everlasting bliss?”
