This is why I HATED school history. What date did such and such happen. Find out on Wikipedia! That is the answer. What is the significance of the Battle of Crecy? Now that is a significant question that has some interest to it. I have no recollection of the date, but I can look it up.

Oh, Nate!! SMH. When was the War of 1812??

I always think of Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture. It calls for a cannon to be fired 16 times.

When I worked as a barmaid, a customer plopped down a dollar bill on the table and said I could have it if I could tell him what color General Grant’s gray horse was. I said “Gray?” He said I was the first one out of a bunch of people he had asked to get it right! And he gave me the dollar, plus a good laugh!
