Actually I discovered the horrible secret of store-bought granola bars …. they’re basically Rice Krispy treats.
I was making those, for some teenagers who requested them….
and I made some with granola, instead of Rice Krispys… as an experiment…. and it works.
You can maybe use a little lower proportion of marshmallow, but you do need enough to stick it together… press it into a sheet pan, cut it into bars…
More like candy than “health food” …. but it tastes exactly like commercial granola bars, such as Quaker or store brand.
I like Moonie’s inquiring spirit. But I do not understand his (or anyone’s, for that matter) interest in gritty, grainy, foul-tasting granola bars. Yuck, ptooie! That’s my opinion; yours may vary.

Mix it with corn syrup and chill…. Don’t forget to use PAM before loading each empty cube. And DON’T use a hammer!
