Nothing like an almost insurmountable problem to get the juices flowing. Not only do you know you’re alive, but being able to solve it is an incredible high!
Our bosses favorite programmer told a dept head that a certain program couldn’t be written. It was impossible. One of the people from the dept told me this and I rolled my eyes. It must be nice to be teacher’s pet and not do anything! Me and my partner had it done in a week. Of course I was called on the carpet for EMBARRASSING HIM! Nothing was said about making that Dept more efficient!
