My little girl doesn’t scratch – even when playing energetically! She does open her mouth and place teeth on the arms or hand – but has never broken the skin yet!

Our dog likes to catch my hand in his mouth when we’re wrestling. she’s gentle with it but my own quick movements have resulted in some painful encounters with her teeth.

In my experience, most cats don’t bite and scratch people unless provoked. Have to wonder about the reasons behind those that do bite or scratch…teased too much, in pain, static electricity…???

Maybe the Pink Panther movie should have been “Does your CAT bite?”

Aw, I had a cat named Millie. And yes, she sometimes bit her petter for no obvious reason.
