When you’re young and single, it is. Later on, not so much. Frivolity sometimes has to take a back seat to life.

He needs to learn about “Walking around money”. EWvery man should have enough cash on him to buy around of drinks for his buddies and to pay off any bet that he makes. Those types of things should never be done or attempted to be done with a credit card. There are some things that are cash only if you are a man. A used car dealer once advised me that if you ever try to buy a used car be sure to show the dealer a few hundred dollar bills while negotiating the price. He said the mere sight of cash will bring any used car dealer uncontrollably to his knees where he will not be able to let you walk away. If you cannot show him cash you are at his mercy but cash will drive him crazy. I know I am old school but I cannot stand to watch someone trying to pay for a cup of coffee with a credit card even at Starbucks.

Here’s a good way to unite both young kids and grownups… Find a candy store (they still exist), walk in, and buy one or two candies – but only what you can buy with the loose change that’s in your pocket. Try not to drive the clerk nuts though.
