Petey owes a debt of thanks to Dill for brushing all the bugs off earlier.

Speaking of Vegiods, it’s a shock that Petey is actually doing something beside laying on his bed reading Comix!

Among the comics about kids, this must be the one where the adult characters are most kind and lovable.

It’s a triffid!

I know it’s a pair of scissors, but it looks like Audrey’s Mini-Me…

I’m loving Mom’s half-hearted smile.

What wasn’t in the first movie was that Triffids produce a nourishing green paste. All the farmer does is to remove the stinger before they are fully mature and become mobile.

To repeat what I commented yesterday: “I am going to preemptively pity poor Petey.”

I can just hear the “chop! chop! chop!” as Madeline cuts that stalk down to a size that will fit into a vase. But will the deleted segments indeed become dinner (perhaps stuffed with ground beef like stuffies I’ve enjoyed overseas)?
