In times past, I have watched for the International Space Station—ISS—to pass over my locale. I always waved (and prayed for their safety). It’s a great thing to do with your kids, and gives you a chance to teach them compass skills and explain azimuths, and elevation and altitude (two importantly different things—especially if you fly in airplanes or space stations!). https://spotthestation.nasa.gov/sightings/index.cfm

I remember years ago reading an article this man wrote online once that UFOs do hide in clouds or sometimes lights that you think are stars are just UFOs. And that if you stare at them long enough they’ll notice you and move away. He even said he’d be willing to teach people how to spot them…
