As I recall, Walt Kelly put it this way (approximately): “In this dark where everyone talks at once, some of us must learn to whistle.” No point in playing the child’s accusatory game. Maybe we could all just shut the hell up for awhile?

When people in high places act like low lifes, it sets a poor example for all. How civil were the 2016 Presidential Debates? None of the so-called moderators were able to prevent either candidate from cross-talking. This has become the norm, and it seems as if too many people find this entertaining!Debates should be informative and dignified, not demeaning nor void of intelligent solemnity. Since D. Trump has succeeded as a self-aggrandizing carnival barker, he must be opposed firmly, decisively, yet honestly, which means his indiscretions must be exposed in totality and with conviction. If incumbents can’t do this (for fear of self exposure), then the voting public must take the fight into the halls of Congress.
