That’s okay, that just means Tarzan will have to hunt him like an animal and then gut him with his knife.

That bow string hitting his bare wrist would have stung in any case….

Oh well, that bow’s been through a lot, time for a new one anyway.

The bad guy was too unnerved to shoot Tarzan, so he ran, but then, he can turn around and shoot his bow?

Well, now that Tarzan knows hoe to chop down trees and square them and all, he will probably make a new bow pretty quick and then finish the job.

Tarzan calls time out while he takes 5 minutes to make a new bow.

What are the chances of getting your bow snapped my a bullet? I have that same kind of luck with my golf ball finding the one lone branch sticking out in the fairway.

OK time to do this the old fashioned way. Bad guy meet Mr. Knife!

I think we all enjoy making fun of this (and a few other) comics. I have absolutely no desire to ever leave it. The stories are interesting, if a bit overdone, and not PC about killing animals. In the “modern era” a comic hero would never be seen killing lions almost daily. I have to remind myself: “No lions were killed in the making of this strip.”

Heckuva shot for someone who missed a lot larger target from a resting position not that long ago.

Tarzan will throw the arrow like a spear and take down the baddie.
