One way to get a little lov’n in your travels, Lennie.
I never read Brenda Starr, but her creator, Dale Messick looks a lot like her and had an interesting life’s journey. She lived to be 98 years old. She was one of the first female cartoonists – hence the name Dale instead of Dalia. She knew nothing about journalism and refused to learn. She took her character to places where only male journalists had gone before. She named her daughter Starr. Interesting biography.

And yet, you’ll stay there with her until she stops crying, won’t you?

Interesting story thread here. I’d forgotten about most of those cartoons (which I never read). Thanks Peterson!

Lennie, love your time machine. A lot of these comics I remember well. I’m enjoying each one. I sure hope you will continue your journey into time.

I wonder if he will cover “Mark Trail” and “Prince Valiant”. He may skip “Dick Tracy” since it is still producing new strips.
