This reminds me of a story from WW2. Stop reading now if you’ve heard it…
Seems there was a German POW camp that contained almost all Polish prisoners. Every day the prisoners were sent out to perform manual labor, the usual labor of construction, repair, etc. Hard labor to be sure. One fellow had the task of moving a load of dirt with a wheelbarrow. Tedious and repetitive. Every time he went through the checkpoint, the guards would poke and prod through the dirt because they were certain he was stealing something. They never found anything, but they never stopped looking. Then came the end of the war, and the prisoners were all released. As the fellow walked out of the gate for the last time, one of the guards pulled him aside. He told the former prisoner, “Look, I know you were stealing from the job sites all along. Now that I can’t do anything about it, tell me, what were you stealing?” The former prisoner calmly replied, “Wheelbarrows”…

I’d be surprised if the guy with the bandage doesn’t have a few “loose parts”.
