Food or a walk would be an appropriate response from Dad.

Looks like something’s burning in the kitchen and causing black smoke. Koko’s stare needs to be a little more invigorating.

According to several sources, when a dog just looks at you (with no food present) that is their way of saying they love you. :D

When Sweetheart looks into my eyes as i’m looking into hers and she does that doggy smile, i know that there is a someone in there looking at me.

She’s not human, i know that.

And the difference in intelligence is obvious. (…most of the time…)

But, there is a self aware intelligence in there.

I can’t know her thoughts, whatever form they may take. I’m not a dog. But i know that she’s looking at me, just as i am looking at her, face to face, eye to eye.

One last thing. When she looks at me, she looks at me like that, into my face and into my eyes.
