HEY! Most “Gamers,” Bathe!

Fortnight, Overwatch, and P.U.B. “gamers” don’t, but “they” aren’t true “Gamers.” ;)

Soooo, gamers smell gamey?

And Brandy will be their queen!

Brandy will have to watch out. Otherwise she will be drooled on.

As a gamer, comic fan and general all around geek for 50+ years, all I can say is that stereotype did not arrive from nowhere. MOST geeks bathe reasonably often, but it doesn’t take very many exceptions in the tight, sweaty confines of the average convention (usually held in the summer, and in the olden days, often in places without AC) to create a memorable impression.

True gamers bathe and change their diaper every 4-5 days after the game is over.

At the opening day announcements at the E3 convention in Indianapolis, the speaker asked everyone at the convention to be considerate of their fellow conventioneers and take a shower daily while attending. And please use soap.

I’ve seen more than one convention mention the 5-2-1 rule to keep you alive at the event. For each day, 5 hours of sleep, 2 meals, 1 shower.
