Weddings should not be held on Saturdays. There are only 52 (sometimes 53) in a year. Less than one-half will the weather permit doing anything and of the remaining ones probably less than one-half will not be taken up with some kind of emergency or similar deal to keep one from being able to enjoy it. That leaves a dozen or less Saturdays per year to actually enjoy them and a wedding should not take up one of those Saturdays, Either get married on a Sunday, a weekday night or elope. If you must get married on a Saturday please check all football schedules including playoffs and at least work around it. Also if you are planning a big outdoor wedding please do not plan it in the middle of the Summer in the South. Even at 6:00 it is still hot in June in South Carolina. I was forced to attend one at Kiawah Island, SC that was at 6:00 on a Saturday in June. Everyone stayed inside the clubhouse until just before the bride walked down the aisle and by the time the wedding was over everyone was sweating. Not Fun at all and distracted from a beautiful scene and wedding.
