I went to the 2006 Star Trek convention in Vegas. There were a lot of people getting autographs during the convention. You could see that a lot of the people having things signed, brought a lot of things to be signed. I pegged them for dealers who would go to another convention and then sell off the signed items. That would be pricey as some of the individual autographs could go for 50 or 60 dollars each.
