Woman: We should have gotten the kids a train this Christmas. Don't you remember when your parents got you one? Man: Yes. I remember my dad swearing like a sailor for two hours while it derailed a hundred times before it made it around the tree.
Yes, I remember the âgood olâ daysâ when we spent more time putting the Tyco (HO gauge) or Lionel (O27 gauge) back on the track. My pa âintroduces usâ to his Marx brand train from his youth (made completely of tin or aluminum). The larger ones werenât as bad to âre-rail.â But the Tyco tracks had to be laid and joined perfectly, or those small flanges on the wheels wouldnât do the job. I found out Bachmann had larger flanges. Probably worked better.
Make a video game train and let the kids go at wreaking it themselves. they already likely swear like sailors from hanging around with their public school âfriendsâ whoâs parents have no restraint.
