Maybe because you’re not going in a straight, continual path from one USA into another one, Jeff’s way would land him in the Atlantic. And Mutt’s already told him more than once that he’s all wet.

I prefer to observe that in any given year, Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve are on the same day, but Christmas Day and New Year’s Day never are on the same day. Some people have actually argued that I’m wrong about that.
