There is only so much fresh water and people waste it on GRASS! Cut the grass HIGHEST setting and don’t cut it when it is hot. If your grass can’t stand the heat, get a different variety. Not only wasting water but poisoning the water table with poison and fertilizer for the grass which it doesn’t need either.
I have a fifty foot lawn, looks good from fifty feet. Don’t see the weeds and miscellaneous growth until you get closer. Why water , it rains occasionally.

A front lawn full of weeds can be nice and green. Low maintenance too.

I catch the AC drip water for the flowers and veggies. Grass can take care of itself. If I water, I only have to mow more frequently.
