I don’t find this funny at all. It’s more just trying to make the dogs act like people.

What part of talking dogs is NOT acting like people?

Delirium’s ideal strip involves people acting like dogs. Oh, never mind - that’s the premise for ‘Big Brother’.

Next Poncho will be barking at a jogger listening to Cole Porter’s Birds do it! on his iPod…

Hillbillyman, why of course people bark, but it is usually up the wrong tree.

I think this is very funny and that last panel made it a keeper for me.

Well, imagine a strip of dogs acting like dogs - sniffing, licking and peeing on things - not going to keep me coming back every day

I love this strip. My favorite. I agree with tcayer. Poncho better be careful he doesn’t get laryngitis.

I love this comic and it is the first I read each day, but I do think this bird theme is stretching out awfully long.

So Garfield, Heathcliff, Marmaduke, Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Yogi Bear, Heckle and Jeckle, Tom and Jerry, and Chip ‘n Dale shouldn’t act like humans, but like animals only? Boy, THAT would be entertaining.

^^^ I feel you about the stretching the bird thing, but that always happens with strips that are story line based instead of fresh every strip (like Garfield, Lio, etc.). Most strips still carry a general outline of a story… like characters and such… but few keep progressing a singular story for months. That’s what graphic novels are for.

But if you really want stretching a concept, Get Fuzzy’s killer Muppets bit has gone on for weeks. There are funny bits, but it’s still just a bit to long.

Doggie Addiction sounds like an Amy Whinehouse song…

But “When Doves Cry” needs to be barked at…

Jeez, people, lay off delirium. You have a right to formulate your own sense of humor. I think this thread has been going on long enough. This strip was sort of funny, but the idea isn’t fresh any more. Let’s hope there’s a new story tomorrow and that this one doesn’t last all week.
