Dad could hsve gotten out of the car and then taken a look around, and then could have gotten back in the car and told everybody what he saw. Then, you could have gone and gotten something to eat.

Just how hot and humid does it get there? I recommend abandoning polyester. And maybe bras. Bras are too hot. And made of polyester.
