Either the dialog writer or the colorer is off, because that is definitely noxious RED pop, not noxious GREEN pop … or have I gone color blind?
Colorists get about 10 minutes to color a daily strip…
Sometimes, especially if they put in extra time for another day, they just don’t have time to read them all.
Actually, the syndicate/publisher pays them about $20-25 an hour, and they get paid for ONE hour to color a whole week of one title.
They sometimes do spend longer on it…. but they don’t get paid more.
A few lucky (?) ones may get to do three titles, and make about $70 a week.
They do it cos they love being part of the comics
getting to read “their” strips ahead of time, seeing their work in print….
but obviously not for the money!
