He’s not wrong. I’ve had my TV for just shy of 20 years. It works as well as it ever has – but I don’t SEE as well as I used to. Next time I have the money, a 48" flat screen is in my future, probably the last TV I’ll own.
It will be a cold day in hell that sees me reading subtitles! If I want to read it will be a book (and I read a couple of them every week), when I want TV/movie entertainment I want to hear the actors saying the words, in a believable manner. (Subtitles have never won an acting Oscar)

We just bought a Sceptre 75" 4k a few weeks ago from Amazon, and that’s the first thing my wife mentioned about it. Great for Wii, too.
