Seems like the owl has found himself in a jarring situation.

Yeah, even our ā€œgeniusā€ gets it wrong ā€“ the opposite of ā€œall owls are geniusesā€ is NOT ā€œall owls are not geniusesā€, it is either ā€œnot all owls are geniusesā€ or ā€œsome owls are not geniusesā€.

Why are there three leaves on the branch in the last panel and only one in the first panel?

Itā€™s FALL, so donā€™t say that they grew!

There is a quote by F. Scott Fitzgerald which talks about this: ā€œThe test of a first-rate intelligence is the ability to hold two opposed ideas in mind at the same time and still retain the ability to function.ā€ (from Aristotle?)

    ā€œGreat minds think for themselvesā€

ā€œGenius is being able to see things others miss. To think of things no one has thought of. To do things not even thought of before.ā€

But generally the cliche is true: The clearest mark of intelligence, even ā€œgenius,ā€ is awareness of oneā€™s limits and ignorance.
